Once Upon a Springtime

Here is my contribution to a mini swap on the Scrapbeach. We had to use the beautiful Graphic 45 paper, Once Upon a Springtime. The paper I used for my page was the Primrose Cottage. I still have to finish the tag to go in the pockets before I mail them out. I can't wait to see the rest of the group! I will post pictures when I get the pages in from the other swappers. :)

Here is my charms I made for the charm swap I joined at Your Paper Pantry. The theme was Valentines, I didn't want to go with the typical red hearts, so this is what I came up with. This is the very first swap I've ever been involved with, and it was so much fun. I can't wait to join some more :)

Altered Balsa Wood box

This was my first attempt at altering one of the balsa wood boxes. I am pleased with how it came out. I used some Graphic 45 paper on the sides and Prima Pistache on the top. On top I used an Iamroses flower, Tim Holtz clock face and flower, a bronze metal flower and a cameo from Canturberry Lane, and a stick pin from Jentaleigh's etsy. This was so much fun, I think I will probably make a tiny little mini to put inside.

365 Project

I've been working on the 365 Project Life since the beginning of the new year. I am doing mine a little differently though. I decided that I needed a way that would be easy to keep up with for the entire year. So I kept it as simple as possible. I may eventually go back and add embelishments, but for right now I think I'm going to leave it as is. There is going to be a lot of pages to this book so I really don't want it to be even more bulkier than it will already be. What I've done is taken some thin 12x12 chipboard and covered it using the DCWV Old World stack. I wanted to use what I already had on hand as I keep buying more supplies and not using them. I also printed my pictures out in the wallet size. I think it is just big enough to show our life for entire year without being so overwhelming. There will be four pages for each month, I've only finished days 1-14 so far. I just typed out a little synopsis for each day, distressed, and glued it under each picture. When I'm finished I will bind them all together with my Cinch. Easy Peasy, which is what I was going for! I will update as I get the months complete.

Hi everyone!

Thanks for stopping by. This is my first blog post, I'm still trying to get this all figured out. I've been working on a mini for my sister the last few weeks which I finally finished and mailed out yesterday. (YAY!! I love a completed project!!) I used the Prima Fairy Floral paper, which is Gorgeous! I was pretty pleased on how the mini turned out, just hope she likes it as well. :)
